Marinate
- 2 chicken breasts boneless & skinless
- 1 cup pickle juice
Breading
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
Copycat Chick-A-Fil Sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
Sandwich
- 2-3 cups peanut or canola oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
- sliced pickles
Breading
Remove the chicken from the pickles juice. Pat the chicken dry using paper towel(s) (do not skip this step), then set aside. In a shallow bowl: add egg and whisk. Add milk and continue to whisk. In a separate shallow bowl: combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic, chili powder, paprika, sugar and mix well.
Dip the chicken in the egg mixture then coat both sides with flour mixture. Dip the single coated chicken once again in the eggs and re-flour (to double dip) and set aside. Repeat steps to double bread the rest of the chicken.
