One Pan Sausage with Potatoes, Carrots and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 5-6 pork sausage Kielbasa, Andouille, Bratwurst, Italian or Chorizo
  • 1 ½ lbs yukon gold potatoes cleaned, peeled & cut into quarters
  • 4 large carrots cleaned, peeled & slice diagonally
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Gravy

  • 2 cups chicken or beef broth
  • 3 tbsp hot melted unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • In bowl: add potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, dried oregano, Italian seasoning and mix. Transfer to the baking dish.
  • In the same bowl: add hot melted butter and flour. Whisk until all lumps are gone. Add Worcestershire sauce and whisk a bit more. Pour ½ cup of chicken broth and whisk vigorously until smooth. Add the rest of the broth and mix. Pour the liquid in the baking dish with the vegetables.
  • Place sausages on top of the vegetables. Bake (uncovered) in the oven for 25 minutes. Flip the sausages and continue to bake for another 25 minutes or until the skin becomes crisp.
