Ingredients
1lbground beef or chuck
½cupwater
2tbsptaco seasoning1 package
1tbspolive oil
16ozrefried beansabout 2 cups
nachos
11-12ozTortilla chips1 bag
2cupsMexican cheese
chopped lettuce
chopped tomatoes
sour cream
salsa
chopped cilantro
sliced jalapeño
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C).
Using a skillet/pan: turn the heat to medium. Drizzle the bottom with oil. Then add the ground beef/chuck and cook for 5-6 minutes or until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning and water. Mix everything together well. Add refried beans then mix some more. Simmer for 5-8 minutes until thickens. Remove from heat source.
Place chips on a baking sheet. Layer with the meat/bean mixture and shredded cheese.
Place the sheet in the oven. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese has melted
Finally top with fresh cut lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños and salsa. Optional: Sprinkle a handful more of cheese on top.
