Beef Lo Mein

Ingredients

Slice the steak into ¼” thick and place in a bowl.

Add all the marinate ingredients to the steak bowl and mix well.

Set aside and let marinate for ~15 minutes.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the pre-cooked noodles and drain. Follow the package instructions for cook time.

Slice all the vegetables and set aside.

Add the marinated beef to the wok/pan; cook for 2-3 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink. Place the beef on a plate/bowl and set aside.

Add 2 tbsp oil to the wok/pan. Then add garlic and carrots: cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.

Add mushrooms and cabbage; cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cabbage is slightly wilted.

Place cooked beef and noodles in the wok/pan. Pour the sauce mixture on top of the noodles. Toss and mix well.

Add green onions.

Toss/mix well. Remove the wok/pan from the heat.

Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

Marinate

  • 1 lb sirlion or flank steak sliced
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp pepper

Noodle & Vegetables

  • 1 lb fresh pre-cooked lo mein noddles
  • 2 cups napa cabbage or can substitute for green cabbage sliced
  • 2 cups seafood mushrooms or substitute for any mushrooms cut and discard the tips
  • 1 medium carrot sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 bundle green onion cut into 2" long
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

Marinate

Prepare & Cook

  • Using a wok/pan, add 2 tbsp oil and turn the heat to medium-high. Wait for approx. 30-60 seconds.
  • Add the marinated beef to the wok/pan; cook for 2-3 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink. Place the beef on a plate/bowl and set aside.
  • Add 2 tbsp oil to the wok/pan. Then add garlic and carrots: cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add mushrooms and cabbage; cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cabbage is slightly wilted.
  • Place cooked beef and noodles in the wok/pan. Pour the sauce mixture on top of the noodles. Toss and mix well.
  • Add green onions and toss/mix well. Remove the wok/pan from the heat.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
