Some recipes just sneak up on you and become a weekly staple without you even planning it — and that’s exactly what happened with these Miniature Shrimp Patties in our house.
After a week of heavy, indulgent meals, these little patties are my go-to reset. They’re light, golden, and packed with flavor, and because shrimp cooks so fast, dinner is on the table in 25 minutes flat. My family loves them three different ways — tucked into fresh baked buns with tartar sauce, served over rice with sweet and sour sauce, or just eaten straight off the plate as a snack. (Honestly, that last one happens most often.)
Simple ingredients, quick prep, and a whole lot of delicious. Let’s make them!

Shrimp Patties
Equipment
- Food Processor or Blender, Non-stick Pan
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs shrimp deveined and peeled
- ½ cup green onion chopped
- ½ cup breadcrumbs panko
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, add shrimp, green onions and garlic. Blend until the shrimp begins to look like paste.
- In a bowl, put the shrimp mixture, bread crumbs, pepper and salt, mix well.
- With wet hands, shape the mixture into miniature patties. Should make 12 patties.
- Using a nonstick pan, add 2 Tbsp of oil. Pan fry the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
