Peppermint White Hot Chocolate is gorgeous in a serving cup and tastes as rich as it smells. I love to decorate these cups with whip-cream covered with peppermint and watch the eyes glow with anticipation as I ask who wants one. It is also pretty fun to let the kids decorate their own cup to give it the personal touch to see what they think makes the perfect topping. My kids love melting the marshmallows in their cups. Gather the family to the kitchen for a sweet hot soothing reward as you share a cup of good times and delicious memories.

Peppermint White Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- dash of salt
Toppings: candy cane, marshmallow or whipped cream
Instructions
- Stove Top: Heat the sauce pan to medium. Add milk, heavy whipping cream, peppermint, sugar and whisk. Wait for 3-4 minutes or until the milk becomes warm. Add white chocolate chips and whisk (make sure to whisk frequently; this will prevent the chocolate from burning or scorching/turning brown). Once the chocolate has fully melted, remove from the heat.
- Instant Pot: Set cooker to saute-medium (not high). Add milk, heavy whipping cream, peppermint, sugar and whisk. Wait for 3-4 minutes or until the milk becomes warm. Add white chocolate chips and whisk (make sure to whisk frequently; this will prevent the chocolate from burning or scorching/turning brown). Once the chocolate has fully melted, press the cancel button.
- Slow Cooker: Add milk, heavy whipping cream, peppermint, sugar, white chocolate chips and cover. Slow cook on low for 2-3 hours. Stir every ~30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely melted.
