Delicious Garlic Tumeric Rice

Add oil to the non-stick pan (recommended). Turn up the heat to medium-high. Add butter and wait until it is melted. Add chopped onions, garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes or until translucent.

Add rice and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Add chicken broth, salt, pepper, Tumeric and stir.

Then, bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid. Cook for 18 minutes (rice should be tender, not soggy and liquid should be fully absorbed).

Remove the pan from the heat source. Let rest with lid on for another 15 minutes.

Remove lid and mix. Season with salt to taste.

Garnish with chopped green onions.

Serve with Chicken Satay and peanut sauce.

Garlic Tumeric Rice
Ingredients
- 3 cups low- sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups white rice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 ½ tsp Tumeric powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ onion chopped
- 5 garlic cloves minced
