Parmesan Chicken Wings (Oven & Air Fryer)

Parmesan Chicken Wings are fall off the bone tender and coated with a rich, salty, nutty flavor that becomes inseparable from the crispy skin. Hold one of these beauties and become vested in a cheese wing recipe that has no rivals. These wings are best served freshly cooked as the juices within work their way to the surface just beneath the crunchy Parmesan coated outer layer making this recipe a must try. Wings never make it very long in this house that goes without saying. However, we do love venturing out and trying new and exciting combination of flavors and textures. Wing lovers will be slow dancing with each wing making sure it is properly enjoyed and that each bone is picked clean. The only thing better than planning to cooking a batch of delicious fresh wings is eating them.

Clean & pat the chicken wings dry with paper towel. Season the wings with salt and pepper. Mix well. Transfer the wings to a baking sheet with a rack or air fryer basket.

Oven: cook for 30 minutes then, flip/turn the wings & finish cooking for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown.

Air Fry:  cook for 22-24 minutes (make sure to flip half way , 11-12 minutes per-side) or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

In a sauce pan: combine butter & olive oil. Turn up the heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds or until fragrant.

Pour the butter mixture over the chicken wings. Add Parmesan cheese and mix.

Add parsley and combine everything together in a bowl.

Garnish with parsley. Serve & enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely minced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven or air fryer to 400°F.
