Chicken in Dijon Mustard Cream Sauce

Chicken in Dijon Mustard Cream Sauce is extremely tender and coated with a rich flavor that becomes inseparable from the juicy breasts. In small bowl: combine salt, pepper, garlic, onion Italian seasoning and mix.

Clean & pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towel(s). Rub the seasoning mix all over the chicken breast.

Heat the skillet or non-stick pan to medium heat. Add olive oil and wait for 30-45 seconds or until hot.

Sear the chicken for 4 minutes per-side. Remove chicken and set aside.

Using the same pan: Turn down the heat to medium. Add butter, broth, garlic, dijon mustard, heavy whipping cream and whisk until smooth. Return chicken and let simmer for 8-10 minutes (flipping the chicken every 2-3 minutes) or until the chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Season with salt & pepper as needed.

Serve & enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breast about 1½ lbs
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Sauce

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced

Instructions
 

  • Clean & pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towel(s).

    Garlic Egg Fried Rice (10 minutes)

    Garlic Egg fried rice is a comforting way to satisfy your hunger. Top with your favorite chili spice and enjoy a bowl full of satisfaction. The fried rice recipe is great as a main entree and perfect for a small side dish. When you find your self hungry and want to devour something delicious, I suggest giving this recipe a try.

    This is a kid favorite in my house and can be on your table shortly after watching the video and following the instructions below. If you have a family that loves to eat everything on the table I suggest challenging them to finish a large bowl of this delicious Fried Rice.     In a bowl: add eggs, salt & white pepper. Whisk well.

    Add 2 tbsp oil to a wok/pan and heat up to high. Wait for 30 seconds. Pour in beaten eggs and mix or scramble.

    Cook for 2-3 minutes or until done. Remove the eggs and set aside.

    Add another 1 tbsp oil to the wok/pan. Place the chopped onion, minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.

    Add cold cooked rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt and mix well or until well coated with the sauce.

    Then return the cooked eggs. Use the spatula to break up the eggs and mix/stir.

    Add unsalted butter and mix/ stir until butter has fully melted. Remove from the heat.

    Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot & enjoy!

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 cups cold rice at least 1 day old
    • 5 garlic cloves minced
    • ½ onion chopped
    • 2 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 3 tbsp (divided) vegetable or canola oil 
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

    Eggs

    • 6 large eggs
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp white pepper

    Instructions
     

    Eggs

    • In a bowl: add eggs, salt & white pepper. Whisk well.

    Cook

      Kung Pao Shrimp

      In a bowl: add shrimp, shaoxing cooking wine, cornstarch and mix. Cover and marinate for 10 minutes.

      In a bowl: add cold water, cornstarch and mix until dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Set aside.

      Heat the wok or pan to high. Add oil and wait for 1-2 minutes until hot. Add onions and garlic to the wok. Stir and cook for 1 minute.

      Add red bell peppers, peanuts, dried chilies peppers. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.

      Add shrimp, ground Sichuan and cook (toss) for 1-2 minutes or until the shrimp is ~50% cooked.

      Lastly add the sauce mixture. Toss and mix thoroughly for 1-2 minutes. Remove the wok/pan from the heat.

      Garnish chopped green onions. Serve immediately & enjoy!

      Kung Pao Shrimp

      Ingredients
        

      • 1 red bell pepper remove seeds & chopped
      • 1 onion chopped
      • ½ cup unsalted peanuts
      • 4 garlic cloves minced
      • 6-12 dried red chili peppers Sichuan 
      • 2-3 tbsp oil
      • ¼-1 tsp ground Sichuan pepper optional but highly recommended to taste

      Marinate

      • 1 lb jumbo shrimp (with or without tail) peeled & deveined
      • 1 tbsp shaoxing cooking wine or dry sherry
      • 1 tsp cornstarch

      Sauce

      • ¼ cup water
      • 2 tbsp soy sauce
      • 1 tbsp shaoxing cooking wine or dry sherry
      • 1 tbsp sugar
      • 1 tbsp black vinegar
      • 1 tsp cornstarch

      Garnish with chopped green onions

      Instructions
       

      Marinate

        Clean and pat the chicken breast dry using paper towel(s). Slice the breasts in half. Place the halved slices of chicken breasts in a bowl. Then pour in the pickle juice. Be sure to submerge the chicken in the juice. Cover & marinate for 30 minutes.

        Remove the chicken from the pickles juice. Pat the chicken dry using paper towel(s) (do not skip this step), then set aside. In a shallow bowl: add egg and whisk. Add milk and continue to whisk.

        In a separate shallow bowl: combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic, chili powder, paprika, sugar and mix well. Dip the chicken in the egg mixture then coat both sides with flour mixture. Dip the single coated chicken once again in the eggs and re-flour (to double dip) and set aside. Repeat steps to double bread the rest of the chicken.

        Heat the oil up to 350°F. Add breaded chicken to the hot oil. Cook for 3-5 minutes each side.

        Transfer to baking rack.

        • 1 cup pickle juice

        Egg Mixture

        • 1 egg
        • 1 cup milk

        Breading

        • 1 cup flour
        • 1 tbsp sugar
        • 1 tsp paprika
        • ½ tsp salt
        • ½ tsp black pepper

        • ½ tsp chili powder

        Copycat Chick-A-Fil Sauce

        • ¼ cup mayonnaise
        • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
        • 2 tbsp honey
        • 1 tsp yellow mustard

        Sandwich

        • 2-3 cups peanut or canola oil
        • 4 hamburger buns
        • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
        • sliced pickles

        Instructions
         

        Marinate

        • Clean and pat the chicken breast dry using paper towel(s). Slice the breasts in half. Place the halved slices of chicken breasts in a bowl. Then pour in the pickle juice. Be sure to submerge the chicken in the juice. Cover & marinate for 30 minutes.

        Sauce

          Place sausages on top of the vegetables. Bake (uncovered) in the oven for 25 minutes.

          Flip the sausages and continue to bake for another 25 minutes or until the skin becomes crisp.

          Ingredients
            

          • 5-6 pork sausage Kielbasa, Andouille, Bratwurst, Italian or Chorizo
          • 1 ½ lbs yukon gold potatoes cleaned, peeled & cut into quarters
          • 4 large carrots cleaned, peeled & slice diagonally
          • 1 onion sliced
          • 3 garlic cloves minced
          • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
          • 1 tsp dried oregano
          • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
          • ¼ tsp salt
          • ¼ tsp black pepper

          Gravy

          • 2 cups chicken or beef broth
          • 3 tbsp hot melted unsalted butter
          • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
          • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

          Instructions
           

          • Preheat the oven to 400°F.

            Heat the non-stick pan to medium-high. Add oil and wait for 30-45 seconds. Pan fry the tofu for 6-8 minutes (flip occasionally) or until all sides are golden and crisp.

            Add sauce mixture to the pan. Turn down the heat to medium and cook/simmer for 3-4 minutes or until tofu has absorbed ~half of the liquid. Make sure to flip and rotate the tofu during cooking for best results.

            Add chopped green onions and mix. Remove from heat source.

            Garnish with chopped green onions.
